Good for the Earth Program™ - Our 1% Commitment to Sustainability

You support sustainable tourism when choosing a Good Earth vacation. One percent (1%) of all our revenue goes to supporting local social and environmental programs in the regions that you visit. 

At Good Earth we recognize that tourism can have negative impacts on people, wildlife and the environment. But tourism also has positive benefits that go beyond economic: 

1. Personal horizons are broadened as we are exposed to natural environments and see the need to protect them.
2. While experiencing new cultures, we become more tolerant and accepting of the differences amongst societies. 

We have an obligation as global citizens to ensure that our actions protect the planet for future generations of our children and grandchildren. It’s very easy for you to get involved. Every year Good Earth staff create a short-list of not-for-profit organizations that need support. These can include but are not limited to:

• Groups committed to environmental causes such as protecting wolves, grizzly bears, wildlife habitat or ecosystems.
• Organizations dedicated to human causes like food banks, children’s programs or health issues. 

We’ll keep you updated on the details of each organization through the Good Earth website and EarthTraveler newsletter. In the fall a survey will be sent to all Good Earth customers asking you to vote on the organizations that you feel are the most deserving. 

We will then make contributions based on the feedback received. It’s our way of making a difference while reflecting your views and interests as a Good Earth Traveler. Thank you!
