Our trip was all we hoped it would be. It was wonderful to be able to get away from the troubles of the world and loose ourselves in the beauty of Canada. The highlight for us had to be Lake Louise. The hike was better than we had hoped. Betty was worried about being able to handle the length and the elevation change but Nadine set a pace that, while challenging was not uncomfortable. We very much wanted to be able to let you know what a wonderful vacation it was. We loved the entire trip and the freedom it afforded us. We have taken bus tours in the past and hated staying only one night in a particular place. The car certainly allows a measure of independence. The driving itinerary was well planned. When asking about highlights, we must say that there were so many that we can't really rate them on the same scale. That would be like comparing apples to oranges. Each event was very unique and had a special feeling about it. Overall, as you know, the Canadian Rockies offer some of the most beautiful country in the world. In just a few miles one feels that God must have shown a little favoritism to you lucky folks that can enjoy any of it every day. We have traveled a lot and clearly you have so much beauty it becomes awesome. Never take it for granted.
